Officers from the Central Hastings OPP have laid charges in an impaired driving investigation.

Last Friday, at approximately 8:30 p.m., police received a report from a concerned citizen of a single vehicle collision into the ditch on Crookston Rd. in Tweed.

A pickup truck was reportedly on its side in the ditch and officers observed empty beer cans near the vehicle, however, no occupants were found with the vehicle at the scene.

Police eventually located and arrested the driver at a residence in Tweed.

31-year-old Raymond Potter of Stirling-Rawdon was charged with impaired driving and is expected to appear in Belleville Court May 7.
