Charges in intimate partner violence investigation in PEC

Members of the Prince Edward County OPP have charged one person after an intimate partner violence investigation.

Last Wednesday, at approximately 11:40 p.m., officers responded to a dispute at a residence in the County and arrested one person.

Charges include two counts of mischief and one count each of cruelty to animals and uttering threats.

The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton at a later date.
