UPDATE: Quinte region to be hit with heavy snow on Tuesday

By Paul Martin Feb 10, 2026 | 12:00 PM

UPDATE:

A Special Weather Statement is now on the menu for the entire Quinte region today.

Environment Canada has put the statement out calling for 5 to 10 centimetres through the day, ending potentially later this afternoon or in the evening.

There will be reduced visibility at times, so the national weather agency is asking drivers to again prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions and allow extra time for travel.

Originally, only the North Hastings region had a special weather statement out earlier today before it was activated for the rest of the Quinte region later this morning.
