Perfect 10 wins in a row for Golden Hawks

By Brock Ormond Feb 13, 2026 | 11:37 PM

Another notch has been secured on the belt for the Trenton Golden Hawks on their quest for another East Conference title.

The Hawks blasted the Caledon Admirals 9-2 on Friday night at the Duncan McDonald Community Gardens to win their 10th game in a row.

Trenton used seven unanswered goals to break open a 2-2 tie after one period to run away with the victory.

The two teams traded goals with Taeo Artichuk and Jack Ziliotto burying markers for Trenton and Clarence Allain and Nate Brentnell potting the Caledon goals.

Isaiah Shantz buried a shot off the post and in behind Patrick Sutherland at 6:55 of the second for the eventual game-winner, which gave Trenton some liftoff.

Josh Penney seized his own rebound on a shot off the crossbar and scored on the backhand, followed by a goal less than a minute later from Thomas Kuipers.

Ziliotto and Lucas Digiantommaso tacked on two more in 16 seconds to chase Sutherland from the net for James Meredith.

The Hawks didn’t take their foot off the gas even with a big lead carried into the third.

Ziliotto completed the hat trick by hammering a Beckett Ewart centering pass and Casey Bridgewater converted into a wide open cage to cap off the scoring.

Ziliotto, Penney, Shantz, Digiantommaso, and Kuipers all recorded three points and Hayden Jeffery made 37 saves to propel Trenton seven points ahead of Stouffville for first place.

The Hawks have a good shot at extending their streak to 11 straight victories against the last place North York Rangers at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
