Driver charged with impaired after vehicle found stuck in snowbank in Belleville

Belleville Police have charged a driver with impaired after a vehicle was found stuck in a snowbank.

On February 5th (Wednesday night) at 8:57pm, Belleville Police responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle collision in the city’s west end.

It was reported that a vehicle had driven into a snowbank and became stuck.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to the male driver and observed possible signs of impairment.

As a result of investigation, Richard Beals, 67yearold Belleville man, was arrested and charged with Operation while impaired alcohol and Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration over 80mg.

He was released on an appearance notice with a scheduled court date in March.
