Belleville man charged following argument

A Belleville man faces charges following a domestic dispute in the west end of the city.

Belleville Police officers attended the residence on Friday evening, where a woman had reported a verbal argument had escalated and a male had pushed her and spit on her before leaving the residence.

It was also revealed that the male was bound by conditions to not communicate with the female or be at her residence.

The next day, a 32-year-old man was found and arrested by BPS officers, being charged on outstanding warrants with assault and six counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

He was held for a bail hearing.
