QHBA Announces Winners of the 2025 ACE Awards

The Quinte Home Builders’ Association (QHBA) proudly announced the winners of the 2025 ACE Awards (Awards for Construction Excellence) following the ACE Awards Gala on Friday, November 28 at the National Airforce Museum of Canada. The event brought together leaders in residential construction to honour the outstanding achievements of QHBA Certified members who raise the bar for quality, professionalism, and industry leadership across the region.

This year’s award recipients represent the exceptional craftsmanship, innovation, and community impact that define the residential construction sector in the regions the QHBA serves. Proceeds from the ACE Awards Gala directly support QHBA’s Quinte Careers in Construction initiative, which promotes and supports youth pursuing careers in construction.

• Builder of the Year: Tobey Developments
• Supplier of the Year: Rashotte Home Hardware Building Centre
• Renovator of the Year: Warren and Co. Contracting
• Trade Contractor of the Year: A1 Plumbing
• Community Partner of the Year: OYAP, Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program
• Under 40 Industry Entrepreneur of the Year: Adam Farkas, Fardun Group
• Consumer’s Choice Award: Warren and Co. Contracting

Member Recognition Awards
• Chair’s Award: Adam Wilson, WSE Consulting
• Golden Hammer Award: QHBA 2024/2025 Board of Directors (for achieving 33 new certified member
recruits during their term)
• QHBA Certified Member of the Year: Watson Land Surveyors
• Paul Stinson Lifetime Achievement Award: Warren Price, Warren and Co. Contracting
• Shirley James Volunteer Award: Lisa Mortimore

Each award winner helps shape a more resilient and future-ready residential construction sector for the region.” Ruth Estwick, Chief Executive Officer of QHBA, added, “We are so proud of the talent within our membership and this event celebrates the best of our industry while supporting the next generation of construction professionals. Through the Quinte Careers in Construction Fund, we continue to champion youth entering careers in construction and address the skilled trades shortage with action.”
