Serious injuries to one driver in Trent Hills colllision Saturday

The Northumberland OPP is investigating a two-vehicle collision in Trent Hills that resulted in life-threatening injuries for one person.

Before 6 p.m. on Saturday, a collision was reported on County Road 45 and Concession Road 11 where one vehicle left the roadway, and the driver sustained serious injuries.

The individual was taken to a local hospital and later transferred to a Toronto-area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

OPP officers and OPP Technical Collision Investigation members were joined by paramedics and fire personnel at the location, and the roadway remained closed until shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Sunday.

This investigation remains ongoing and anyone who may have witnessed or has video/dash camera footage of the collision is asked to contact the Northumberland OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
