Christmas season in full swing in Belleville

By Brock Ormond Nov 18, 2025 | 1:23 PM

The Christmas season is officially here in Belleville.

Over the weekend, the city launched its annual Festival of Lights display in Jane Forrester Park and held the Belleville Nighttime Santa Claus Parade to bring joy and cheer to people of all ages.

The lighting displays will be on each night in Jane Forrester Park (30 South John St.).

Santa and Mrs. Claus will also make appearances at the park each Friday starting Nov. 28 to Dec. 19 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. collecting letters and holidays wishes before the big day.

Meanwhile, Bridge Street was glowing with holiday cheer as the community came together to celebrate the start of the season during the Santa Claus Parade on Sunday.

A number of emergency services personnel, local businesses and teams all got their floats dressed up in lights and marched downtown to celebrate the holidays.

Photos from both events can be seen below (all from City of Belleville).
