OPP investigating report of 10-year-old struck by large animal in PEC

Prince Edward County OPP are investigating after officers responded to a report on Sunday just after 12:00 noon of a person struck by a large animal.

Hastings Quinte EMS and Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue also responded.

A 10-year-old was reportedly struck by a large animal in the area of County Road 49 and was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment of injuries.

No other information was immediately available.
