Search in Picton ends with drug and weapon charges

Two people were arrested after some cocaine was confiscated from a location in Picton.

Late in the day on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 members of the East Region Community Street Crime Unit with the assistance of the East Region Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at an address in Picton.

As a result of the warrant, officers located a quantity of suspected cocaine, scales, and other drug paraphernalia, two batons, and a quantity of Canadian Currency.

Prince Edward County OPP have now charged two people in the case.

Thomas FOX from Prince Edward County (age 37) and Danielle GAGNON from Prince Edward County (age 33) were both charged with possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

FOX was held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on Thursday April 6, 2023 and GAGNON was released from custody and is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on May 31, 2023.
